- Museums-Peabody Museum, Yale: Invertebrate Paleontology
Yale's collection of invertebrate fossils is world-wide in scope. The holdings represent a treasure of more than 300,000 specimen lots which comprise approximately four million individuals. A total of 30,000 invertebrate fossils has been formally described; about 4,000 of these specimens form the basis of new species descriptions.
