  
Lettered Sound Effects
One of the distinguishing characteristics of Comic Book art is the use of lettered sound effects to heighten the action and drama of the scenes. The sound effects are drawn by hand and unlike text, cannot be altered: Just place them in your composition as you would characters and props.
