Ornithischia and Saurischia are the two orders of dinosaurs. The division is based on pelvic bone shape: saurischian dinosaurs had a pelvis resembling that of modern reptiles; the pelvis of an ornithischian dinosaur resembles that of modern birds. In most cases, ornithischians had hoofed toes. Some were bipedal; others were quadrupedal; all were herbivorous.
